Filby Neighbourhood Plan (review)

The Borough Council is currently publishing and consulting upon the Filby Neighbourhood Plan review (2022-2041) under Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (opens new window). This is a formal plan prepared by the parish council. If adopted, the neighbourhood plan's policies will be used to help decide planning applications in the area. There is currently an adopted Neighbourhood Plan for Filby which forms part of the development plan for the Borough. This consultation relates to a review of the adopted document (or a 'Modification Proposal').

Representations (comments) on the document are invited between 09:00 on 6 February 2026 and 23:59 on 20 March 2026. Representations should address whether or not the draft neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions and other matters that the examiner is required to consider under paragraph 11 of Schedule A2 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended). Anyone wishing to make a case for an oral hearing should do so as part of a written representation.

Should you wish to be notified by the Borough Council at Regulation 19, whether the Borough Council makes (adopts) the neighbourhood plan, then please also indicate this on your representation.

Following the representations period, the plan - together with all duly made representations - will then be submitted to the independent examiner.
